An illustrated talk by Charles Trevelyan, the current Chairman of the Bugatti Owners’ Club and son of Prudence Fawcett who, with little or no previous experience of her vehicle, entered as a driver in the 24 hour Le Mans Race in 1938. After collecting a route plan and rally plaque you start at your leisure finishing at Stanway House, where you can see the gardens, the fountain and have a homemade cream tea served from 2pm. You will have plenty of time to stop and enjoy the scenery and visit sights en-route. Wearing clothing that is period to the car is encouraged and there will be prizes for the 'best dressed team' and a fun concours that everyone can take part in. Tickets per car and driver are £35, additional adults £15 and children under 14 £10. This includes breakfast, cream tea, rally plate and route plan.

Friday 12th October - 7pm at the Clubhouse.

A horse race night and dinner at the Clubhouse. A different kind of race meeting, with lots of competition, excitement and fun; with dinner included. It is not a four-wheeled event, but a four-legged event! An evening of horse racing, where you can take part by taking a chance on the horse that gets to the winning post first. How will it work? There will be films of actual horse races shown at random, both flat and national hunt. You will buy tickets for the horse that you fancy, the film is selected, the lights go down, and... they're off! 50% of race takings are returned to winning tickets. Sponsorship of taces is invited, which will allow you to chose the names of the horses and trainers for the race. This includes the cost of 8 tickets. A race card with all horses and trainers will be printed for the event. This promises to be a fabulous evening with race commentary by Claire Balding, Jim McGrath and Derek Thompson. Don't be a nay-sayer or wait until the horse has bolted. Come along for the ride at the inaugural Prescott Gold Cup race meeting! The event will comply with the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976. Cost £20 per person. £200 per race sponsorship inclusive of 8 tickets. Maximum of 12 tickets per table. Contact the Club Office for details.
