Aston Martin from the Start and CMC 614

An illustrated lunchtime talk, by Stephen Archer, about the history and survival of Aston Martin from its beginning to 1935 and one illustrious Ulster; CMC 614, which raced at Le Mans in 1935 through to the present day. There will be a display of pre-war Astons organised, including Ulster ‘LM14’ as well as a new DB11 courtesy of HR Owen. So, plenty to see and hear, all with a carvery lunch too!

Design and Development of Bugatti Chiron and Divo.

An evening talk about the underlying design philosophy of the Chiron and Divo at the La Vie weekend. We will be hosting staff from Bugatti SAS and the UK importers HR. Owen who will talk about the design and development of the current production cars from Bugatti SAS. We hope to have a car on display under the Clubhouse entrance. There will be a champagne reception and dinner before the talk followed by a question and answer session.
£25 per person, including champagne reception and three course dinner, please contact the Club Office for tickets.

Drive the Hill Day

an opportunity for BOC Members and Guests to drive Prescott Hill with many of the Bugattis that will take part in the 90th Anniversary International Rally before they depart for Ireland. This will be organised on the same lines as the annual garden party.

Runs will be £5 each. Non-members gate entry is £10 per person, please contact the Club Office for further details.

Le Tour Panoramique – A tour of the Cotswolds

The second running of a 60 odd miles tour navigating around the Cotswolds. The start will be at Prescott from 9 a.m. onwards, where you can see the cars attending the Breakfast Cub and enjoy a breakfast at the Clubhouse. The Bugatti Trust will be open specifically for Tour participants from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. where the Bugatti Type 59 race car that last appeared at Prescott 80 years ago in the hands of Jean Bugatti and Jean-Pierre Wimille is on display. Once under your way there will be time to stop and enjoy the scenery or sights en-route, including Hidcote and Kiftsgate Gardens, Broadway, Snowshill, Chipping Campden, etc. The finish will be at Gloucester Warwickshire Steam Railway in Toddington, where an inclusive Cream Tea will be available from 3 p.m. at the "Flag and Whistle' Cafe". There you can take a trip on a steam train or join a tour of the Steam Sheds as a part of a small group.

Wearing clothing that is period to the car is encouraged and there will be prizes for the "best dressed team" and a fun concours and quiz that everyone can take part in.

Tickets per car and driver are £35, additional participants are £25. This includes Bugatti Trust entry, Cream Tea, Steam Shed Tour, Rally Plate and route plan.

Buried in a Shed? A talk by Henry Cole. NOW FULL

A Buffet Supper and evening talk by Henry Cole, known for his ‘Shed and Buried’ and ‘Find-it, Fix-it’ TV Programmes. Henry has kindly offered to do a talk for Friends, which will cover his interesting family background and the challenges he overcame in his formative years. He is a passionate advocate of mechanical things and tinkering. He is also a successful film maker and broadcaster, motorcycle manufacturer and holder of a Bonneville Salt Flats speed record on a Brough Superior! This promises to be an interesting evening on many levels!

Le Mans and me – a talk by Andy Wallace. 

 Cancelled due to Andy not being available. We are trying to reorganise the talk for another time.

A Buffet Supper and evening talk by Andy Wallace, probably best known as a Le Mans driver in the Silk Cut Jaguar Team and more recently for Team Bentley. For 11 years he held the record setting speed of 240.14mph in a McLaren F1, then the world’s fastest production car. He is now the Official Customer Demonstration Driver for Bugatti SAS. He thus has a wealth of racing experience and with a unique insight of life at Molsheim and will surely give us an evening to remember! What better way to spend an autumnal evening, listening to one of the most accomplished Le Mans drivers and to learn more about the latest Bugatti Divo.

   Friday 8th November

The “Prescott Gold Cup” A Horse Race Night with dinner.
A different kind of race meeting, with competition, excitement and fun. An evening of horse racing, where you can take part by taking a chance on the horse that gets to the winning post first. Race commentary by Clare Balding, Jim McGrath and Derek Thompson. Don’t be a nay-sayer or wait until the horse has bolted! 50% of tote will be returned as prizes.

Race Sponsorship allows you to choose the names of runners and riders for your party for a race and inclusion on the race card.

£200 per Race inclusive of 8 tickets.

   At Stanway Church

BOC Carol Service at St. Peter’s Church and after in the Great Hall at Stanway House for mulled wine and nibbles. 

Suggested donation of £10 per person, please contact the Club Office to reserve a seat as places are limited.
